Count Down The Day (Monday)

Monday = Isnin

1) Hari ni ade presentation from Eva and others about Violence Against Women - how it can be prevented? Presentation yg sgt menarik (topik ni sesuai bg kat Eva) esp ade the only male in the group. Dr R. Kamath pun puji the way it was presented. Isu-isu yg dibawa kena pada tajuknya. Not to forget, one video clip at the the end of the presentation.

2) Having early lunch at 11.30am. The menu: Chicken Teriyaki from Subway (100% HALAL) and Barrista Caramello from Barrista (the cost is almost Rs200)

3) Ade community visit ke Kadekar, one of the rural area near the Udupi. Interesting trip. This would be the last visit to community setup. What we had learnt today? Type of house known as kaca (rumah separuh siap) with 2 rooms and does not have attached toilet. Inadequate lighting and ventilation (really dark when you go inside). Well become the source of water supply. Washing area is in the yard where the water used for washing drained to the plants (save cost). I don't think I would see such house in my place.

4) Study for Community Medicine End Posting Examination (malasnyer...)

29

"Awk dpt 29 for obg"

Mesej yg diterima membuatkan aku terkedu. Terkedu dgn jumlah markah terlalu sedikit. Jika nak dibandingkan dgn markah semasa posting di Udupi, bagai langit dgn bumi. Mungkin bg sesetengah menganggap ini hanya end posting examination semata-mata tapi aku rasa ia lebih dr tu. It's just not a mere exam. It's more than that. The thing is, I don't want to use my sickness for that period as an excuse not performing well. Even it is just a minor test. Hilang semangat sebentar.

~ irony ~

IRONY of a doctor/medical student/health care workers
1) Smoking: Despite knowing the consequences such as bronchiectasis, chronic bronchitis, thrombo angitis obliterans (TOA), lung cancer etc.
2) Sedentary lifestyle: They know the importance of regular exercise and avoidance of stress, yet they still not bound with it
3) Drug abuse: Just because they are have accessibility to certain drugs (some drug abusers are health professionals! Just imaging it)
4) Some may not consult other doctors when they're sick (I would say I fall to this group of people)
